The idea for the EPGT came from the President of the Swiss National Council, Paul Schmidthalter, and the financial policy spokesman for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, Hansgeorg Hauser. The first EPGT took place in Crans-Montana in 1995. After a few more events at this location, a rotation principle was decided upon, whereby a different parliament takes on the role of host each year. The tournament will take place for the 30th time in 2026.
The Bundestag Golf Group is delighted to be able to organize this opportunity to maintain contact with parliamentarians from other European parliaments.
From July 13th to 15th, 2026, numerous golfers from 10-12 European parliaments and the EU are expected in Bad Saarow. Parliamentarians' employees and guests complete the group.

The golf course in Bad Saarow The 54-hole course offers pure golfing pleasure for every handicap on 300 hectares with two driving ranges and its three 18-hole courses Arnold Palmer, Nick Faldo Course Berlin, Stan Eby. While the Nick Faldo Course Berlin, one of the most difficult Scottish links courses with its 133 pot bunkers, lures even the best players out of their reserves, the Arnold Palmer with its ancient trees invites you to fully enjoy the wonderful park landscape and the harmonious embedding of the course in nature. The Stan Eby course is the easiest of all courses and is characterized by wide fairways and challenging undulating greens.
