HISTORY
The idea for the European Parliament Golf Tournament (EPGT) originated with Paul Schmidthalter, President of the Swiss National Council, and Hansgeorg Hauser, the financial policy spokesperson for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. The first EPGT took place in Crans-Montana in 1995. After several subsequent events at this location, a rotation principle was established, with a different parliament hosting the tournament each year. The tournament will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026.
The German Bundestag's golf group is delighted to organize this opportunity to network with members of parliament from other European parliaments.
SCHEDULE
The EPGT 2026 begins with participant registration, during which you will receive your personal access. After a brief welcome on July 13, 2026, and an introduction to the schedule by the organizers (Captains' Meeting), the first event is the welcome reception at the Bad Saarow Golf Club.
Afterwards, there will be ample time to get to know all the participants and their respective nations. Following this sporting and cultural exchange, the highlight will be the dinner and awards ceremony, where the results of the Scramble, the Nations Cup, and the individual competition will be announced.
All golfers will be honored.

The golf course in Bad Saarow The 54-hole course offers pure golfing pleasure for every handicap on 300 hectares with two driving ranges and its three 18-hole courses Arnold Palmer, Nick Faldo Course Berlin, Stan Eby. While the Nick Faldo Course Berlin, one of the most difficult Scottish links courses with its 133 pot bunkers, lures even the best players out of their reserves, the Arnold Palmer with its ancient trees invites you to fully enjoy the wonderful park landscape and the harmonious embedding of the course in nature. The Stan Eby course is the easiest of all courses and is characterized by wide fairways and challenging undulating greens.
